5 Anker Connect is aimed at charter companies, maritime sales service providers, and yacht manufacturers. These roles belong to the same industry but bring different working contexts. The SaaS solution serves as connecting software for these parties and maps their digital processes in one application.
External commercial services also belong to this system. Accounting data is connected via DATEV, payments via Stripe. Interfaces transfer data between the SaaS solution and the named services and extend the technical scope of the application with defined external handoffs.
The decision
I develop 5 Anker Connect as a SaaS solution with Laravel and Vue.js and have carried this responsibility since 2016. Laravel forms the technical basis on the application side, Vue.js the basis for the user interface. Both belong to the ongoing development of the same product.
The integrations to DATEV and Stripe are also in my system scope. My role therefore connects product development and interface work over a long operating period. Laravel, Vue.js, and the two connections form the concrete technical frame.
The build
Laravel carries the specialist product logic, Vue.js makes the associated steps usable in a web-based interface. The SaaS core thus holds the processes for the involved charter companies, sales service providers, and yacht manufacturers together in one shared application.
The DATEV interface connects the accounting context, Stripe the payment path. Both handoffs must pass data in the form the respective target system expects, and remain compatible through further development. Product changes therefore reach into clearly named commercial processes.
The build connects the Laravel/Vue core with these handoffs into accounting and payment. The application processes its specialist operations and passes relevant data to DATEV or Stripe. On the homepage, desktop and mobile make the three target groups — charter companies, sales service providers, and yacht manufacturers — directly visible. Product logic, interface, and integrations thus become one technical unit.
In operation
5 Anker Connect has been in operation since 2016 and is continuously developed. Application, framework base, and integrations therefore belong to product responsibility carried over years and remain the subject of technical work.
In operations, further development covers both the SaaS core itself and the handoffs to DATEV and Stripe. Changes to product logic or interface must continue to carry these connections. I take responsibility for this technical development as operator on an ongoing basis and have held application, payment, and accounting together since 2016 across the entire technical chain of the maritime product.
